Frequently Asked Questions
How many animals have you rescued to date?
As of January 2024, we have rescued approximately 2,000 animals. In 2023 alone, we rescued 388 dogs, 28 cats and 1 bunny.
I’m interested in fostering. What does that look like?
When you foster a dog or cat through our network, it’s on a temporary basis, anywhere from a few weeks up to six months. As a foster, you’re able to help us learn about the animal’s personality, which in turn helps our rescue partners find its furever home. Successful foster families will potty train their dog, preferably keep it inside, and give it opportunities to socialize and learn to be part of a human and furry family. Leash training is helpful but not required.
We provide the vetting and help with food and bedding if necessary.
I want to help, but I’m not sure I want to foster. What else can I do?
There are plenty of other ways to help if you can’t foster! We are always looking for volunteers to help with fundraising events and promotion. We need drivers to transport our animals to and from vet appointments as well as to pick-up points for transfers to our northern rescues.
We are always in need of financial donations and donated items for our animals while in foster care.
